You'll have killed a good few dinos getting to the city and setting up so they should be around 210 by then, look up the extinction xp notes map and use them in the city. You can then leave the desert and setup in the city as thats the most convenient base spot (you will end up traveling everywhere eventually). This is your gateway into safety, kills, exp, taming other predators, and travel. Right clicking seems to give a boost? However it will sometimes shoot you off in a seemingly random direction and damage dinos so, again, not clear what this is for.įifth, I'm not sure if you want to add like a general tips section or whatever but: (this isn't necessary for people transferring in at max level, they can just gather resources in the desert or snow biome and get a strong tame and work from there) What I recommend new players do is grind levels in the underground forest until lvl 27, respawn and make a small base in the desert to try to get a max velonasaur (if you cant get max get a decent one to get prime meat easier, then use that to get a max or close to max one). Left clicking shoots a beam that seems to mark targets (leaves dot over head), this doesn't remain upon leaving the drone and retrying so I'm not sure of it's function. Additionally this doesn't seem to be mentioned elsewhere but they seem to have some interesting functions. The max distance now is less than 4000 WITH a good bp which is like the distance between 3 buildings in the city, pretty bad. Rather than buffing the bps to be stronger than the primitive terminal one (before this recent patch they were all worse nmw) they nerfed the terminal one as well, which was already fairly low range. It's possible that there's a specific few bps that do overfill the terminal but unlikely.įourth, there seems to be some discrepency over whether scouts are still bugged. I've gotten a couple ascendant bps for them and the resources would all fit in the terminals (especially with how they changed them in the latest patch). Third, Enforcers should be fine crafting at any terminal regardless of stats. Second, I believe you mean the terminals act as small obelisks, not arks (even this is not really true, but it's close enough). Flyers really aren't necessary in the sunken forest at all, they just make it easier which is just as true for areas of the city. Additionally the city is bad early on as it's the only biome (discounting sections of the wasteland) that has heating problems, everywhere else is exactly what the survivor needs. Up until that point you should really only be grinding levels and it's better to do this in the sunken forest because there are more resources closer together. I would recommend spawning in the sunken forest first then moving (through respawning and building a new base) to the desert at level 27 as the velonasaur is crucial to actually starting to play this map.
